Description

The Pan African Parliament’s revised Protocol adopted by the African Union Summit of January 2014 confers onto PAP new responsibilities and ways of transacting business. The Revised Protocol seeks to transform the PAP into a parliamentary organ of the Africa Union (AU). The project therefore aims to assess the implications of the Revised Protocol (implications on the composition, functions and powers) for PAP. It is to enable the PAP to be in a state of preparedness to implement the Revised Protocol once it is ratified.
