Jeniffer is an experienced Gender & Governance Program Specialist based in Nairobi with a 13-year proven track record in designing and implementing gender-responsive projects and programs across East Africa. Passionate about empowering women and young girls to participate meaningfully in decision-making processes and promoting inclusive governance. Skilled in project management, policy, advocacy and communication and donor engagement.
She has designed and implemented gender, women economic empowerment, governance, and health financing programs in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Zambia. Managed grants funded by the World Bank Group, European Union, Hewlett-Packard, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Global Affairs Canada. Utilized social accountability tools to generate evidence for advocacy and improve program effectiveness. Empowered communities to participate in shaping local, national, and international policies and processes.
She holds a Masters degree in Development Studies and a Bachelors degree in Community Development.
