The Ghana Parliamentary Caucus on FoRB Launched.

“Religion is like a pair of shoes. Find one that fits you, but don’t make me wear your shoes”- George Carlin.

The Ghana Parliamentary Caucus for Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB), was launched on the 13th of November 2023. The event had in attendance the Rt. Hon. Speaker Alban S.K. Bagbin who was the special guest, alongside some members of parliament, Civil Society Organizations, the Peace Council, the Christian, Muslim, and Humanitarian Society, and some Freedom of Religion or Belief Leadership Network (FoRBLN) and African Parliamentarians Association for Human Rights (AfriPAHR) members. Then again, members from Malawi, Sierra Leone, and the Gambia joined in the Launch of the Caucus.

This initiative in collaboration with IPPFoRB and AfriPAHR is to help foster peace and unity, and a network that will advocate Democracy and Human Rights, particularly on FoRB, throughout Africa. The Accra charter was also signed by the members present to pledge their support on issues of religion and belief.
