ILGRP Kenya Team Trains CSOs on Approaches to Engage In the Parliamentary Legislative and Budget Making Processes.

The Global Affairs Canada funded Inclusive Legislatures for Gender Responsive Policies (ILGRP) Project on the 23 and 24 February 2024 organized practical learning sessions with Civil Society Organizations in Kenya on approaches to engage in the parliamentary legislative and budget making processes effectively and innovatively.

The CSOs enhanced their practical skills by applying a gender checklist and data from relevant reports and surveys to conduct gender responsive analysis using budget statements and documents. The trained Civil Society Organizations will utilize the skills and approaches gained to include gender perspectives in their submissions to the Parliament of the Republic of Kenya.

The Inclusive Legislatures for Gender Responsive Policies (ILGRP) Project is implemented by the African Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA) in partnership with The Parliamentary Center.
