Description

The focus of the project is to assist the African Development Bank (AfDB) in its efforts at strengthening the capacity of African Parliaments, particularly public accounts, budget and finance committees in order to ensure the judicious use of national resources with the ultimate goal of reducing poverty and promoting economic growth.  The capacity development programs to be implemented take account of the key role parliamentarians and their support staffs play to ensure sound public financial management, accountability and good governance.
